The Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course, State College of Florida lists the class as 'Children and Divorce,' is a four-hour class required by Fla. Stat. § 61.21 and fulfills the court-ordered requirement of the 12th Judicial Circuit (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties). All parties to a dissolution of marriage proceeding with minor children or a paternity action that involves issues of parental responsibility shall be required to complete this course prior to the entry by the court of a final judgment.
